Description

A delicious homemade stromboli loaded with provolone cheese and assorted meats.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen pizza dough, thawed
  • 1 cup jarred marinara sauce
  • 1012 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/2 pound thinly sliced large pepperoni
  • 1/2 pound thinly sliced Genoa or hard salami
  • 1/4 pound thinly sliced Virginia or baked ham
  • 1/2 cup banana pepper rings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pull your thawed dough to room temperature for approx. 1 hour before filling.
  2. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Grease a cookie sheet and set it aside.
  3. Divide the dough in half. Using a rolling pin or your hands, roll your dough to a rough 7×12-inch rectangle.
  4. Layer on the marinara sauce, cheese (it’s okay if they overlap), all of the meats, and the pepper rings if you are using them. Leaving about 1 inch at the edge.
  5. Starting at the long side, roll up towards the 1” border. Pinch the seam together to make a tight seal.
  6. Place the roll on your baking sheet, seam side down, and cut four shallow cuts in the top of the stromboli to let steam escape.
  7. Bake until golden and bubbly, about 25-30 minutes.
