Description

Delicious mini pastry shells filled with a sweet ricotta mixture and topped with chocolate chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (15 count) mini pastry shells
  • 1 cup full-fat ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (divided)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). If making pastry shells from scratch, roll out dough and cut into circles for mini muffin tins.
  2. Arrange pre-made pastry shells on a baking sheet or place homemade shells in muffin tins and bake until golden brown.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and half of the chocolate chips. Mix until smooth.
  4. Allow pastry shells to cool completely before filling with the ricotta mixture.
  5. Top each filled shell with remaining chocolate chips and a light dusting of powdered sugar.
  6. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to two days.

Notes

  • Make sure to use full-fat ricotta for the best texture.
  • These can be made ahead of time—just fill them right before serving for optimal taste.
