Description

Delicious molten chocolate cakes with fresh cherries.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup fresh pitted cherries (or thawed frozen cherries)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease four ramekins with butter.
  2. Melt dark chocolate and butter together over simmering water until smooth.
  3. Mix in granulated sugar, then add eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition.
  4. Gently fold in flour until just combined, then incorporate the cherries.
  5. Fill ramekins three-quarters full with batter and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are set but centers jiggle slightly.
  7. Let cool for 1 minute before flipping onto plates and dusting with powdered sugar.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use higher cocoa chocolate.
