Description
This creamy sauce is perfect for hibachi-style dishes, shrimp, fried rice, or sandwiches.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 2–3 tablespoons water (to thin to desired consistency)
Instructions
- Melt the unsalted butter and allow it to cool slightly so it doesn’t curdle the mayo.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, melted butter, sugar, rice vinegar, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Whisk until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Add water, one tablespoon at a time, whisking between each addition until you reach a pourable but not runny consistency.
- Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors blend.
- Stir before serving. Enjoy with hibachi-style dishes, shrimp, fried rice, or sandwiches.
Notes
- This sauce is versatile and can be adjusted to taste.
