Description

A delicious and easy deli turkey sandwich with layers of cheese, mayo, and fresh vegetables.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices whole wheat bread
  • 24 slices Provolone cheese (or your favorite sliced cheese)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 ounces sliced or shaved deli turkey
  • 1 leaf Green leaf lettuce
  • 2 slices fresh tomatoes
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • as desired additional toppings (see options above)

Instructions

  1. Lay out all ingredients.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on bread slices and layer 1-2 slices of cheese over the mayo (you want to cover the whole slice of bread with cheese so you may need to do 2 slices and overlap).
  3. Add sliced turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, salt, and pepper, and any other additional toppings.
  4. Top sandwich with remaining cheese and bread slice, cut into halves, and serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding your favorite condiments or pickles.
