Description

Delicious and easy chocolate-dipped raspberries make for a perfect treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces fresh raspberries
  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the raspberries: Rinse the raspberries very gently under cool water. Spread them out on a paper towel-lined tray and allow them to dry completely. This step is crucial. Even a little moisture can cause the chocolate to seize or prevent it from sticking properly. I like to let them air dry for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Place the chocolate chips or chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 20–30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth and glossy. If using coconut oil, stir it in once the chocolate is mostly melted. This gives the chocolate a smoother consistency and a beautiful shine. You can also melt the chocolate using a double boiler if you prefer a more controlled method.
  3. Dip the raspberries: Hold each raspberry gently at the base and dip it into the melted chocolate, coating about three-quarters of the berry. Let the excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.
  4. Set on parchment paper: Place each dipped raspberry onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Leave a little space between them so they don’t stick together.
  5. Chill to set: Refrigerate for about 15–20 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm. Once set, they’re ready to serve.

Notes

  • This is my favorite part. Watching the bright red berry disappear into rich chocolate never gets old.
